2024, RIDE THE DREAMLAND IS ABOUT TO RETURN

Just one more month of patience, and then the Veneto region will once again welcome some of the best cyclists in the world to its roads. The organizing team at PP Sport Events has been hard at work for months, preparing for the fourth consecutive edition of Ride the Dreamland, the holy week of cycling in Veneto.

If you haven’t already, grab a pen and mark your calendars: it all kicks off on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, with the Giro del Veneto, where history and modernity collide in this iconic race, now in its 87th edition. Legendary names like Costante Girardengo, Fausto Coppi, Roger De Vlaeminck, Giuseppe Saronni, Francesco Moser, Davide Rebellin, and Matteo Trentin have all made their mark on the Giro del Veneto, which continues to add to its glorious history year after year.

On Friday, October 18, the Serenissima Gravel returns as well. This race, which in 2021 saw professionals tackle gravel roads for the first time, has since helped establish a trend where gravel events are now a regular occurrence. Starting in 2023, it’s been joined by the Serenissima Gravel Amateurs, where participants set off just minutes after the pros to experience the same thrilling roads.

Speaking of amateurs and enthusiasts, Saturday, October 19 is not to be missed, with the Social Ride VENEtoGO, an open-to-all ride where the only goal is to have fun, enjoying breathtaking views with pizza, beer, burgers, and much more. It’s a true celebration of cycling that starts on two wheels and continues long after the ride is over, until the DJ finishes their music set.

However, the crown jewel of PP Sport Events is the Veneto Classic, scheduled for Sunday, October 20. This classic has already captured the hearts of locals and cycling fans alike, with a mix of everything: climbs, descents, cobblestone walls, gravel sections, and the charm of historic town centers. The ‘muro della Tisa’ has become the race’s iconic climb, and each year—2024 will be no exception—an area is set up where fans can watch the cyclists up close, enjoy a big screen, DJ sets, and indulge in burgers and beer.

What’s new for 2024? We’ll be announcing that very soon. But we can tell you that, along with many returning elements, the province of Verona will play a much bigger role this year. Stay tuned!
